Campus SAT Program - Winter Spring 2019
07 Jan au 15 May 2019
Whether it’s in our consciences or in the nature that surrounds us, the world is changing. Our use of technology changes every day with it. As artists, how do we express ourselves about these contemporary transformations? Whatever our discipline and our motivations, digital technology allows us to speak a language in line with our time. Come dive in with us and learn about inspiring new digital techniques - discover passions, transform your talent into an active career, take your professional practice to the next level, and meet new collaborators!
Included in the program: over 160 hours of digital arts workshops (in French), ranging from immersion and visual creation, to audio creation and interactivity. For the very first time this year: a breathtaking catalogue of workshops, 5 of which were more than 75% financed by Emploi-Québec for artists and cultural workers. Among them is an all-new hands-on workshop on immersive sound creation for fulldome, installations, and virtual reality.. In addition, two workshops are offered in collaboration with the Regroupement des artistes en arts visuels du Québec (an association of visual artists of Québec): animation with After Effects, and web creation with WordPress.
The regular program leaves nothing to be desired, with a revisited workshop lon virtual reality experiences creation. The workshop on digital scenography for performing arts and installations with Millumin software is also back, along with our classic workshops on interactive art with Arduino, VJing & projection mapping, and DJing.
Reduced rates for students and artists are still available.
What do you need to know about the language of instruction ?
We are always adding new workshops in English during the year, and most, if not all, of the instructors of our classes in French are perfectly bilingual. If you register for a workshop given in French, you should of course be comfortable enough with the language to actively follow the instructor’s explanations to the class, but we absolutely encourage you to use English when you ask your questions if you feel more comfortable doing so. Our workshops are offered in a friendly environment in small groups of 6 to 12 participants.
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions about the language of instruction or need any help.
