TECHNO SATURDAYS FOR AGES 9 TO 12
19 Jan au 27 Apr 2019
This winter and spring 2019, Campus SAT for Youth is offering a captivating program for beginners who wish to explore digital arts, and for experienced hobbyists who are ready to create larger-scale projects. Our program features over 68 hours of workshops, including four Art-Techno workshops (up to 9 hours per theme), one 30-hour DJ/VJ camp during spring break, and four introduction workshops!
Our new “Future Pro” workshop series is for 9 to 12-year-olds who are curious to discover new artistic approaches and different, more advanced tools! Through these activities, children are introduced to various creative possibilities using audio, video, 3D modelling, and coding.
The introduction and discovery workshops are also back! Between March and April, children can gather together for short, fun workshops on a wide range of captivating subjects. New this year: a workshop dedicated to circuit bending, the art of tinkering with noise-making electronic devices (like children’s toys), to create unexpected results and often very unusual sounds. Needless to say, our popular workshops on themes like stop-motion animation, GIF creation, and building an electronic interactive installation with Makey Makey, are back as well.
This spring break from March 4 to 8, a new DJing and VJing camp will allow participants to develop their creativity and acquire knowledge and technical abilities in exciting artistic fields. Accompanied by professionals, the young digital artists will explore video and music creation with a focus on live performance, in an animated atmosphere of collaboration and support.
