Cinéma urbain is back with a line-up of free outdoor movies
every Thursday from July 22 to August 19, 2021

For its 15th edition, Cinéma urbain has been revamped and adapted to the current situation, with a new line-up that celebrates Montreal's joie de vivre. An essential event for cinephiles in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles.

Developed by Jarrett Mann, Artistic Director of Kino Montréal, in collaboration with the Society for Arts and Technology, the 2021 program showcases the creativity of Montreal film festivals, partnering with Filministes Festival, Festival Haïti en Folie (in collaboration with Montreal International Black Film Festival), Fantasia, Film POP and the Festival du nouveau cinéma (FNC).

“I am honoured to be associated with this unifying project. It will give several festivals the opportunity to reconnect with their live audiences for the first time in far too long.” - Jarrett Mann
