For
more than 20 years, actress and author Charlotte Laurier has
maintained a love-hate relationship with painting, which she sees as a favoured
field for expression at its purest state, for uncompromised emotion and for
the artists’ fight against themselves. She’s always hidden this facet of her
art but for the first time she plunges into emptiness and reveals the strength
of her passion for painting.
On
the occasion of her second play AUTOPSIE FEMME presented at the Society
for Arts and Technology from April 10 to 15, the actress and author
has decided to put up for sale a series of paintings on doors inspired by the
play. The funds collected will help the completion of its financing.
You
are invited to come join us and support Charlotte and her team on Monday, March
14 at 5pm at the SAT (1195 St. Laurent boulevard). The event will last all evening.
The writer-composer Ève Cournoyer, who will do the score for the play,
will perform some of her songs.
Marie Charlebois, Joëlle Morin and Julie
Vincent, who will all share the stage with Charlotte Laurier in her
play AUTOPSIE FEMME, will also be attending. It will be possible
to buy tickets for the play then. While enjoying Charlotte’s magnificent works!
