Carleton Immersive Media Studio (CIMS) in collaboration with
the SAT, is hosting a multimedia, projection-based event showcasing work that
focuses on aspects of the developing area of lower Boulevard St. Laurent, an
area steeped in historic and symbolic significance to the city of Montréal.
The project aims to enliven and stimulate the neighborhood for the evening
by using various media such as light projections, digital animations, immersive
environment, video, image and sound. The visuals and sounds have been gathered,
composed and created by researchers at CIMS using a diverse set of processes
and techniques that contribute to and reflect the etched character of this heritage-designated
site.
