AADJA
AADJA (pronounced aa-dee-aa), born in St. John’s, Newfoundland and now based in Berlin, is a DJ, producer, and vocalist whose ethereal and emotive sound bridges the experimental and the powerful. Classically trained in voice from age 16, her early musicality evolved from acoustic instruments to immersive electronic compositions. Emerging from Toronto’s underground rave scene—where she held a FORMAT residency—AADJA has since headlined clubs and festivals across the Americas and Europe, including Tresor (Berlin), Printworks (London), Amnesia (Ibiza), and Lofi (Amsterdam). With releases like Thought Dealer (2018) and recent appearances at Ellen Allien’s We Are Not Alone and on Richie Hawtin’s From Our Minds tour, she continues to define her own visionary space in techno.
Asha is a rising force in Montreal’s electronic music scene. Originally from Toronto but with deep Caribbean roots, her sets are a reflection of her rich musical upbringing—seamlessly fusing bass-heavy, percussion-driven, polyrhythmic sounds that transcend borders and genres. Whether solo or as one half of the DJ duo Runa and Asha, she’s carved out a distinct sound that moves fluidly between techno, bass, electro, breaks, and more. Beyond the booth, Asha is a dedicated organizer and co-founder of Ether, a collective committed to spotlighting contemporary and diasporic expressions within bass music.
Cori, formerly known as Corinita, is one of the brains behind T.I.T.S., a for women by women collective centered around the notion of uplifting your surroundings through a passion for the dancefloor. Whether it is through her event curator role with the T.I.T.S platform or when she djs, Cori puts marginalized communities forward with her track selections, bookings and event concepts. Cori’s sound is focused on hard kicks, heavy grooves and ambient sounds atmosphere with an accent on more complex percussive structures. Nonetheless, she approaches djing as something that needs to be fun to be good. No genre is off limits. No rules are applicable.
Meen Moreen studied jazz composition and interpretation, but after 8 years, she decided to switch it up and trade her trombone for dj decks. She’s interested in techno and mixing various genres including punk, oriental-electro, and rap. She’s the founder of Wdkthenameyet. She shared the stage with international djs like Trym, Callush, Afem Syko, Vendex, In Verruf, Phase Fatale, Contrefaçon, La Penderie Noire Henning Baer & Matrakk. She produced her first Single Digital Love Song and made her debut in the Toronto scene with Entourage Festival, Soak, Carousel & Elektro Cult Collectives.
A new addition to the Montreal scene is one of Toronto’s most versatile selectors, MIASALAV. Her commanding sets—seamlessly weaving bass, techno, club, house, and everything in between—demonstrate her expansive musical range. Drawing from her roots as a hip hop dancer, she infuses her sets with infectious rhythms, masterfully controlling the energy of the dance floor. She is deeply immersed in multiple facets of the dance music scene—as a producer with releases on several international compilations such as Aanjel, Air Texture, and Wavawava, and also as a driving force behind the scenes. Over the years, she has collaborated with various collectives as an event curator, and most recently co-created Ether, a bass music event series spotlighting FLINTA* artists.
No Police is a Montreal-based DJ, producer, and electronic music explorer known for her bold and unconventional sound. Drawing on a deep knowledge of electronic music, her sets blend techno, trance, acid, and breaks with hypnotic rhythms, melodic passages, and heavy basslines. She has performed at Montreal’s top events, including OCTOV, Igloofest, Piknic Électronik, Groove & Bass Festival, and Stereo Afterhours, sharing bills with artists like Anetha, Vanille, 999999999, and Manni Dee. Her debut EP, released in August 2024 on Berlin’s PARA//E/ label, features the standout track “12AM,” which has received international DJ support, reaching audiences from Berlin to Hong Kong.
Rooted in a dancer’s background, Runa is a DJ fueled by a deep passion for the intersection of music and movement. Known for her bass-heavy sets, she weaves together deep, dubby textures with high-energy, rhythmically complex breaks, drawing from a wide range of cultural influences. Runa is also a co-founder of Ether, a femme-led bass collective dedicated to spotlighting both contemporary and diasporic sound system influences within bass music, while curating inclusive, movement-centered dance floor spaces.
