Discwoman co-founder Umfang was born in the Bronx, grew up in Kansas and has been living in Brooklyn since 2010. She holds a monthly residency Technofeminism at Bossa Nova Civic Club focusing on emerging talent. She enjoys playing with people’s expectations of how a techno set can be defined. Her amorphous polyrhythmic productions have been most recently released on Ninja Tune.
Ouri grew up in France, in a family of mixed French and Afro-Caribbean descent. Montreal's rave scene is where her artistry began to take shape. She established herself in the community as a producer, DJ and songwriter. Lending her skills to various collaborations, she strengthened her sense of self, but also her affinity for transforming sonically into any genre, playing any role. Ouri's DJ sets mainly combine UK bass music with techno, new and old, in a smart and intricate way.
Kris Guilty is the founder and head of La Rama, a record store and label based in Montreal’s Mile End district. His unsurprisingly extensive and well-curated record arsenal is complemented by an impeccable command of vinyl deejaying and crowd-reading.
While better known for his groovy sets that saunter on the borders of house, funk, and boogie, Kris is a certified beast on the decks when it comes to the harder, edgier corners of his record bag.
Fantasy is a relative newcomer in the Montreal scene. Enhancing raves with their DIY light bar installations, Fantasy seamlessly bridges the worlds of the auditory and the visual to bring you a truly unforgettable and blissful dancefloor experience.
