Since her debut in 2012, Halo has released a range of albums spanning ambient, experimental pop, leftfield club, and film scores. Her global performances include venues like the Southbank Centre, Sydney Opera House, Berghain, and festivals such as Sónar and CTM. She has collaborated with artists including Moritz von Oswald, Julia Holter, Hanne Lippard, Eckhaus Latta, John Cale, and the London Contemporary Orchestra.
Through her tireless involvement in the DIY circuit, kiju has naturally emerged as a mainstay in Montreal’s underground electronic music scene as a DJ, organizer, and dancefloor specialist. Behind the decks, kiju has been noticed for her genre-spanning range and careful selections that focus on finding a groove, sometimes through more subtle rhythms and textures. As a core organizer of the notable @layer05_ series and a regular name on bills across various local dancebars, kiju’s taste knows no limits when it comes to tempos, styles, and moods.
Balancing the ethereal with the physical, Evita constructs her sets like a collage, not confined by genre but driven by mood. She is one of the driving forces behind Montreal's ''Sunday Service'', renowned for its feminine energy, lush daytime ambiance, and intimate experiences. Evita also recently launched 'Serpentine', an event series exploring her personality's more mystical and psychedelic aspects. Her approach to music is more than just a soundtrack for a night out; it's an avenue for pure, multidimensional hedonism, expanding minds, healing souls while maintaining a palpable energy.
Active since 2001, TIND is a video art group renowned on the Montreal scene for having developed their own techniques for live audiovisual creation using errors. By hijacking common analog audio equipment such as the distortion pedal, TIND creates singular imagery that visually echoes the original sound material. Their live performance are laboratories for real time experimentation : a perfect mix of controlled improvisations with prepared interventions and mastered errors.
