Coming from an electroacoustic background, Axel Helios has proven himself on the Montreal Techno scene. At the helm of his own labels Shabu Recordings and Heard Island, Axel produces sounds that defy the norm, while fully embracing the term 'Leftfield' as a creative backdrop. Drawing inspiration from Lovecraft's imagery, the concept of the “soul in the machine” and the organic chaos of nature, Axel attempts to implement an invisible cinematic narrative within his music.
