A celebration of the local club culture co-presented by the Ferias collective: a night of house, groove, and dance music featuring Alina b2b Guthrie.
Deeply rooted in Montreal’s dance community, Ferias brings a unique energy to the city’s dancefloors. Whether you’ve caught them at their legendary ’til-sunrise jam sessions, on festival stages, or at their residencies at Sans Soleil, Datcha, or Système, Guthrie and Alina deliver the groove to keep you moving all night long. Expect a back-to-back driven by a finely curated selection, flowing between funk, dub, acid, and the most infectious house. It’s going to be hot!
Ferias is profoundly anchored in the Montreal dance community, with residents Guthrie & Alina flowing through sounds from all corners. Holding down residencies at local haunts such as Sans Soleil and Systéme alongside regular appearances at Piknic Electronic, SAT, Igloofest, MTL Jazzfest - not to mention their famed ’til sunrise jams - the collective was built around Montreal's ever-present musical buzz. They routinely welcome worldwide heads to experience MTL’s magic & connect with our local legends - the likes of Theo Parrish, Marcellus Pittman, Lovie, Rich Medina, GE-OLOGY, Toribio, Love Injection, Shawn Dub, Musclecars, Eli Soul Clap, and many many more have jammed with Ferias over the years. Ferias are also are constant collaborators with various Montreal movers & shakers, including La Rama, Music Is My Sanctuary, and Zamalek. Through showcases in Brooklyn, Amsterdam, Mexico City, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco & Detroit, Ferias flirts with the global circuit every so-often, but now & forever remains Montreal to-the-core.
Active since 2001, TiND is a video art group renowned on the Montreal scene for having developed their own techniques for live audiovisual, based on the use of errors. By hijacking common analog audio equipment such as the distortion pedal, TIND creates singular imagery that visually echoes the original sound material. Their live performances are laboratories for real time experimentation : a perfect mix of controlled improvisations with prepared interventions and mastered errors.
