Known for having taken part in all the avant-garde raves of the last decade, and inspiring new generations of DJs as a member of Discwoman, Volvox comes to Montreal for an evening of techno, electro and breaks. Frankie Teardrop and Parts Project are also on board to spice up the jam-packed program. A must-go!

Brazilian-born DJ Volvox is a central figure in New York’s techno renaissance, known for her precise mixing and take-no-prisoner approach to the dancefloor. Over the past decade, she’s graced the world’s most forward-thinking clubs, including Berghain, Awakenings, Sónar, and Dekmantel, establishing herself as a global underground icon. As a founding member of the all-female DJ collective Discwoman, Volvox has been instrumental in reshaping the electronic music landscape, inspiring more women to rise through the ranks. She now leads ABOV, a FLINTA*-focused collective and event series focused on empowering marginalized identities within electronic music.
Frankie Teardrop is a Canadian DJ, producer, and event programmer based in Montreal and Vancouver. As the co-founder of the Slut Island Music Festival and the creator of the LIP party and mix series, Frankie has become known as one of Montreal’s key programmers, championing emerging queer producers and DJs within the underground music scene since 2014. In recent years, they’ve expanded their focus to include videography, festival management, and music production.
Parts Project is an artist who thrives on original music and live performance. His journey spans UK garage, bass music, breakbeats, lo-fi hip hop, and ambient, with a recent focus on live techno. His sets blend raw, gritty energy with a driving, hypnotic flow that captivates listeners. Parts Project has showcased his diverse styles on labels like Audio Bambino, Bait, Woodwork Recordings, and Juncture Music. Over the past few years, his live performances—including appearances at Mutek, Homegrown Harvest, and Exposé Noir—reflect a constantly evolving approach, both in sound and technical setup.
Francis Pineau a.k.a. Le Frankenstein is a 3D, video, and audio artist. His work takes shape as 3D animations, audiovisual performances, motion design work and audio production. Rooted in the digital arts, he juxtaposes different techniques and is focused on the unique properties and limits of the mediums he uses. His projects conjure visions of disjointed worlds, of forgotten pasts and of possible futures.
ION SEA, also known as Sasha Vreca, is a Montreal-based visual artist renowned for his live audiovisual performances. After starting his career in animation, he shifted to visual art and experimental cinema, exploring new processes to reinvent performance visuals. As a founding member of the FAU collective, Sasha has collaborated with artists such as Niels Frahm, Pedro Winter, and Sian, and has showcased his work at festivals like MUTEK, Electric Fields, and Vision Roma. His work continuously pushes the boundaries of visual art, reimagining our relationship with technology and space.
