Whether playing for intimate underground gatherings or large-scale immersive venues, DAPASHU? creates experiences that are playful & unpredictable.
RICO RICA, a.k.a. mmmmrico, is a Colombian-Canadian DJ, singer, and performer inspired by the heat of Barranquilla's Carnival, the neo-nostalgia of digital subcultures, and the intersection of global rhythms by constant migration. Their sound is a fusion of nostalgia and futurism, reimagining Latin folklore while pushing genre boundaries. Their debut single, La Tetona (2023), gained international recognition after being played at Berghain’s Panorama Bar. RICO RICA has organized events in cities such as Barcelona, Montreal, Berlin and throughout Colombia, building spaces that uplift the LGBTQ+community.
As a DJ, fagofcolour believes that no genre is off-limits as long as the crowd is dancing. This approach has led him to play at clubs, warehouses, and stadiums around the world. He is also a co-founder of Vancouver-based Normie Corp, a collective that, since its inception, has championed queer and trans folks, BIPOC, and women.
HNZ showcases her Latinx heritage through percussive rhythms, including Dembow, Tribal and Reggaetón, interlaced with high-energy and bass-heavy mixes of hard Techno, Psytrance and Global Club Music. With a background in audio engineering and event production, she has applied her skills and love for music by co-founding Normie Corporation, a Vancouver-based, QTBIPOC-centred, multi-genre music event collective. Normie Corp has grown to become one of the largest grassroots Queer-led music initiatives in Canada and is quickly expanding to Europe and Asia.
soratora casts a spell with every set, weaving deep, pulsing basslines and intricate rhythms that lure dancers into a state of trance. Their sound blends broken rhythms and deep bass pressure, with a hypnotic pull that slowly builds tension and invites listeners to lose themselves in the music, all wrapped in the infectious groove of underground club culture. soratora is also the co-founder of DIY Rave, a queer collective that uplifts emerging talent and fosters community.
