The Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) presents “River of Death / On the Ground”, directed by Caleb Wood and Richard Reed Parry. The animated video features 2 tracks from Quiet River of Dust, the first solo album by Richard Reed Parry, the multi-instrumentalist at the heart of Arcade Fire.
The two-part album is meant to represent both sides of a mythological river where parents would go to mourn dead children — a liminal space between the living and the dead. The concept is introduced on “Sai No Kawara (River of Death)” . “On the Ground ” was inspired by the voices of ghosts he heard in a Japanese forest that reminded him of his late father’s folk band, Friends of Fiddler’s Green.
This video will be screened every day during the opening hours of the Foodlab (3rd floor).
