In keeping with the recognition of Montréal as a UNESCO City of Design,
the SAT aims to contribute by dedicating the SAT[Gallery] as a centre where
visitors can witness the genesis and processes of creative research via open
experiments in fields such as interface design, communications design, and interactive
design.
Touching the
Invisible:
Touching the Invisible characterizes the work performed at the Smart
Studio, a research group within the Interactive Institute that
creates new fusions between art, science and technology, and reflects how the
studio works with the invisible flow of information.
The group aims to bring the invisible out into the real space we inhabit, to invite the visitor for interaction, and overturn the outcome. The exhibition is built around six individual pieces representing different aspects and interpretations of the theme, that in different way challenge our preconceived notions on flux and immobility, on thought and matter, on time and space.
Opening hours of the SAT[Gallery]:
Tues. to Fri.:2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sat:12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
