You may now address Miss Kittin by her original moniker: Kittin. For decades, Kittin has pioneered electroclash, that grimy, irreverent collision of new wave and ‘90s techno. Singles “1982” and “Frank Sinatra” with The Hacker cemented her as an international DJ, both tracks heralded as anthems for the underground electroclash scene. Through a relentless work ethic and a crystal pure love of music for music’s sake, Kittin, birth name Caroline Hervé, has solidified herself as a global luminary in the electronic community.
There is no one like Legowelt. His vast musical output spans many different worlds – some real, some imagined – and does so in a unique and captivating fashion that keeps listeners enthralled. Since first emerging in the early nineties as a key part of the Dutch West Coast scene he has become a core member of that crew who takes inspiration from Detroit and Chicago pioneers but also fantasy films and sci-fi culture, and is nowadays a modern day techno pin-up in his own rite, defined by his sonic investigations that veer from techno to freaky house deepness via old school acid.
Hawaii-born, San Francisco-seasoned, and NYC-based musician Kim Ann Foxman has always been a capital-R Raver. For the three decades since she started to go out, the label owner, singer, and queer-musical-icon has evolved herself as a solo artist releasing records via her Firehouse & self:timer labels and as a vocalist with her club hits (“Creature”) and on the first two Hercules & Love Affair LPs. Whether she is performing at nightclubs or festivals, Kim’s time-tested rave anthems will always be in her DJ-bag.
Sunil Sharpe is one of techno's true people. Known primarily for his fast-moving, skilful style and dynamic selections on the decks, Sunil has carved out a unique place in the scene, representing electronic music in a range of different ways - as a DJ, producer, label owner, party organiser, radio host, writer, educator and nightlife advocate. A regular fixture on international lineups and at venues across the world - Bassiani, Berghain, De School, fabric, Fuse Club, Tresor, to name a limited few - Sunil's reputation as a "turntable wizard" is long established from his early days as a DJ in Dublin.
Born and raised in Montreal with North African roots, zi!’s love for music and dance came well before they stepped inside a nightclub. Very active in Montreal’s vibrant underground scene, she has been creating dancefloor euphoria through DJing as well as with event organizing, as part of queer collective FLUSH and of Missed Connections. Musically, their sets include an array of percussive grooves and sentimental breaks. zi! has quickly made their mark in Montréal’s DIY scene.
Chameleonic in nature, Destiny's only constant is change. Whether DJing, performing live or programming, every event she plays is infused with a legacy that contains the experimental, punk, DIY venue & rave lineages of Montreal, Toronto & Hamilton that have shaped her. At the decks her selections range from the infectious to the improbable, keeping dancers on their toes with an intoxicating swirl of the unknown, the nostalgic & the uncanny. Her sets remind us that we're only as free as we let ourselves be.
Lexis is the founder of the Music Is My Sanctuary collective and the 24 Hours of Vinyl worldwide event series. His various projects have been co-signed by institutions like TED, NPR, Wax Poetics, Red Bull Music Academy, and Boiler Room. His eclectic DJ sets are a staple of the Montreal scene and are widely recognized for always keeping audiences on their toes. He’s shared stages with wide-ranging artists like Thundercat, Gilles Peterson, Badbadnotgood, Nas, Ben UFO to name a few. A huge lover of radio, he has hosted sessions on NTS and Worldwide FM and now hosts a monthly show with Belgium’s Kiosk Radio.
In 2006, Melesul3 (Jérôme LeBel) began injecting his visual touch into Montréal's electronic music scene. His style moves between retro neon and minimal glitch. The rhythm and energy of his visuals are in symbiosis with the artist he supports.
Jason Voltaire is a Montreal-based interdisciplinary artist. An in-demand motion graphics designer and video artist, Voltaire has worked with artists such as Sinjin Hawke, Jacques Greene, and Slikback. He is perhaps best known under his dance music / DJ / Live set pseudonym Martyn Bootyspoon.
Enhancing raves with their DIY light bar installations, Fantasy seamlessly bridges the worlds of the auditory and the visual to bring you a truly unforgettable and blissful dancefloor experience. A technicolor dream for your pleasure.
