Leëf has built a reputation for layering all sorts of unconventional and uncompromising beats in the most elegant way. Electro, bass, psychedelic dubs, and the sinuous paths of the improvised – all find their way woven into her lustrous DJ sets.
In the Kotokoli ethnic group in West Africa, Djima is the name given to a child born on a Friday It’s the middle name that was given to him by his mother from the north of Togo. Having spent his childhood in France and being attached to the discovery of his African origins, Djima seeks to build his multi-identity through musical performance, creating a language that transcends borders and cultures.
His artistic identity and sources of inspiration mix musical styles of orchestral ambient, minimal rhythms, dub techno and West African sounds.
N/UM (pronounced noom) is a New York-based live electronic trio using analog synthesizers and drum machines, guitar and voice in live composition. The trio have come to be regarded as modern pioneers of electronic live music with their fully improvised live sets, featuring the most classic of analog electronic instruments available, mixed with vocals and guitar for a truly genre-bending experience.
Mok-T is a Montreal-based artist whose music is influenced by the spectrum of Raw House and Dub music. He is commited to building positive, inclusive dancefloor spaces in Montreal rapidly growing community. He also practices digital art with his Isotone studio. In 2020, he releases his first tracks on Kizi Garden Records, and his latest vinyl project on La Rama Dubs in 2021. An EP for Archipel Mu- sique and a track for Kito Kat Records will be out by the end of the year.
The Isotone collective, based between Quebec and France, explores the creative possibilities of digital arts by blending various artistic skills. Their work, focused on emotion rather than technique, manifests itself through visual, musical and interactive projects. Founded in 2018 by Félix Bonjour, Hugo Fournier, Lilian Guiran and Bar Rubinstein, Isotone collaborates with partners such as Mutek, MAPP_MTL, Juste Pour Rire and others.
