Immersive musical film Harmonielehre is back to plunge you into the heart of the work of American composer John Adams! Throughout the recording of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and its conductor Kent Nagano at the Maison symphonique, you will be propelled into an imaginary world, between the composer’s subconscious and the grandeur of the Satosphère.

OSM / Kent Nagano
Founded in 1934 by a group of devoted music lovers, with the backing of the Québec Government, the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal is one of the major cultural organizations of the city whose name it bears with pride Under Maestro Nagano’s leadership, the OSM’s musicians have demonstrated the breadth of their talent, both in their performances of the great classics from the European tradition and in major events.
Kent Nagano is renowned for interpretations of clarity, elegance and intelligence. Since September 2006 he has been Music Director of Orchestre symphonique de Montréal.
John Adams, one of the most renowned American composers of his generation, grew up in New England and studied at Harvard before settling in California in 1971.
From then on, he was very active in San Francisco’s music scene, teaching at the Conservatory for 10 years and then joining the San Francisco Symphony as composer in residence.
