Utopia
(2024)

In a sprawling desert, a unique cinematic experience unfolds through multiple dome screens, each depicting a distinct architectural tale. Journeying through three dystopian worlds, we first explore “High Rise Cult,” a forsaken village where wooden skyscraper replicas are buoyed by balloons, symbolizing fragile hopes. Next, “The Doomed City” draws us into a city birthed in no man’s land, influenced by a painting by Nicholas Roerich. The third architectural tale is “Phygital Limbo.”. A perplexing digital environment is continuously stimulated by synthetic engines based on human emotions. Being here is akin to experiencing a conscious collective dream. This immersive film challenges perceptions, blurring the boundaries of architectural imagination and reality.

SUPREMATISM.
The
day
before
(2021)

The last futuristic exhibition of paintings 0.10” “Zero-ten” was an art exhibition which took place in Petrograd within the period between December 19, 1915 and January 17, 1916. The exhibition featured 36 works by Kazimir Malevich and his associates. Suprematism was presented as a new direction. The exhibition "The Last Futuristic" was named due to the organizers' idea to complete the futuristic period in Russian painting and to mark the beginning of Suprematism. In the red corner of the room, traditional for the icon in an Orthodox house, was placed the "Black Square". This short-length film is the architectural and visual experiment in the creation of the spatial compositions based on the suprematic paintings from the exhibition “0,10”.

Urban
Mindscape
(2022)

The Urban Mindscape project is a collaborative research study combining neuroscience and architecture through immersive communication tools and cutting-edge technology. Bringing together insights from both fields, the project aims to design improved urban environments based on positive human experiences. The study examines how different modes of urban mobility—walking, cycling, and driving—affect mental well-being. The project seeks to uncover the intricate impacts of urban travel on mental health. The results will guide interventions and policy changes aimed at improving mental well-being through thoughtful urban planning.

As part of Berlin Science Week 2022, the project was invited to participate in a science communication event series called “Einstein in the Dome” at the Berlin Zeiss Planetarium, organized by the Einstein Foundation. Additionally, a second show was held in April 2023 as part of Berlin Foundation Week.

The
Inner
Island
(2022)

This short film is inspired by the piece Souvenir de Porto Rico, composed by Louis Moreau Gottschalk in 1857 during his tour of Puerto Rico. Set in an ever-shifting architectural space, the film immerses viewers in a dynamic virtual environment where movement, intricate musical rhythms, and illusions blend together. As the space transforms, the audience becomes an integral part of the experience. This film was created as part of TROPICALISZT, a collaborative project celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Franz Liszt Music University in Weimar.
