The Québec Musicians’ Guild (GMMQ) and the Professional Society of Authors and Composers of Québec (SPACQ) invite all musicians
and composers to attend a conference on video game music. On October 1, Mathieu Lavoie will moderate a discussion with composers
Jean-Sébastien Robitaille and Maxime Goulet on how to synchronize original music to video games, the current state of the
market, and opportunities for composers and musicians in this industry.
Moderator : Mathieu Lavoie
Active in multimedia for 12 years, Lavoie has composed
music for over twenty documentaries, short
fi lms and video games as well as concert works for
various ensembles, from soloists to symphony orchestras.
Guests : Jean-Sébastien Robitaille & Maxime Goulet
An accomplished and multitalented composer, Robitaille
has worked primarily in fi lm, television, and
advertising. In 2007 and 2008, he completed his fi rst
video game soundtracks for The Golden Compass and
Lord of the Rings: Conquest.
Working in several areas of music, Goulet is currently
the in-house composer for the video game studio
Gameloft. Games for which he has composed music
include Ghost Mansion Party (Nintendo Wii), Battle
Tanks (PS3N), Prince of Persia Zero (mobile) and Siberian
Strike (iPhone).
