Séverine Fontaine
Séverine Fontaine is a multidisciplinary artist and the founder of Cie IKB, established in 2002 in Lyon, France. She creates performances, light installations, and immersive works that bring together theatre, music, visual imagery, and new technologies in their design. Her narrative and emotional worlds are shaped by her encounters and travels, particularly in Quebec and Argentina. Her practice is rooted in human connection, questioning European cultural conditioning and the need to reconnect with nature. Her creations highlight human, cultural, and social diversity, building bridges between communities. Each project is developed through meetings and interviews, opening dialogue and informing its content. Her scenographies feature anthropomorphic lamps and incandescent light bulbs, which for her embody the human figure and a singular relationship to light.
