Intended for both Montrealers and curious tourists, these illustrated maps list places to eat and drink, have a coffee and visit various cultural sites in the city. The places selected, based on a free editorial choice, represent a mix of some of the city’s must-see classics, as well as some of its favorite addresses.
The “DRINK AND EAT” and “COFFEE” gourmet cards were designed in collaboration with TASTET and illustrated by Francis Léveillée.
The restaurants and cafés were selected based on the following criteria: culinary quality, ambiance, décor, price/quality ratio, service or their unique feature. Cultural venues were selected for their symbolic, architectural or heritage aspect; historical relevance; experience and sustained quality of programming; and places preferably open year-round to the public.
PAPEROLE has always wanted to put Montreal on the map! Since its beginnings, this Montreal-based publishing house has made it its mission to showcase local talent and take it on a journey through the medium of drawing: postcards, books, posters and accessories illustrated by artists with an original and joyful style.
The TASTET website, whose slogan is “If we talk about it, it’s because it’s good”, was born from good people who like to eat and drink well in good company! Every day, TASTET shares the joy of discovering beautiful addresses and good things through its site and its networks.
TASTET and PAPEROLE have the same desire to highlight Montreal; its particular beauty, its uniqueness, but especially its artists and all their creativity.
