To delve into

Historically, dream interpretation has been used as a tool for control, legitimizing power in ancient civilizations. In a modern context, ReVerie critiques the role of generative AI in shaping collective narratives, often weaponized for social engineering. By inviting participants to co-create a shared dreamscape, the project subverts this dynamic, reclaiming agency of personal dream data and narrative through collective authorship. This reflects the residency’s emphasis on subverting algorithms for individual creativity and empowerment.
