DJ
Doc'trin
Doc'trin is a high-spirited DJ / party-enthusiast frequently requested for his energizing mixes of disco, house, techno and everything that orbits a good groove. A few career highlights include spinning at Piknic Electronik, 24 Hours of Vinyl, and sharing the decks with Pal Joey, El-B, DJ Assault, Gary Davis, Jellybean Benitez and Jerome Derradji. He’s one of the core organizers of Sweet Boogie / Samedi Quelque Chose and has championed a four-year-strong weekly residency in the Old Port of Montreal. At the controls, Doc’trin embodies his unrelenting love of music, ensuring every event is a celebration of life.
See that shrimpy looking guy crumbling under his milkcrate with the pockets full of seaweed? It's Omar Krivit, an audacious DJ who began his career in 2012 under the name "Le Laitier" and gradually transformed into a virtuoso young lobster. The rumor says that he once played a private party for Poseidon while he was crate digging in Atlantis. Our sharky protagonist is one of the creators of Sweet Boogie, a funk/soul/disco/garage after party based in Montreal. He also co-founded Samedi Quelque Chose, a non-profit organization promoting music and culture in the city. Krivit's lust for crispy 12'' never ends: from hip hop to jazz, techno to funk, reggae to house and jungle to italo, this sea mammal is totally getting high off his own supply.
Rig Thrall
Rig Thrall is one of those artists with a strong character and style, with an eclectic and varied selection. A racy techno/trance style combining hovering and tribal music, breaks and marked sounds of the 80s-90s. He is notably the co-founder of the Rakya label in Paris (@rakya_75), and of the event organizations Die Well (@die_well_mtl) and Field Test (@field_test_mtl) in Montreal. Also a producer, he signed various EPs in Europe and Canada (Rakya Records, LaRama Records, Kizi Garden, Sun Generation, Secret Knowledge, etc.).
