Technological art’s lovers, book your February 14 evening! The SAT invites you to the vernissage
of its new exhibition and it’s 2007½ program launch.
Following
Valentine’s Day spirit, we have reunited numerous artists and partners who
have built this season with us for a chocolatefull 5
à 7. Together, we will offer some morceaux choisis from the mosaic
of style, talent and creativity to which the public will be treated these
next 7 months.
More
than a hundred events such as performances, festivals, productions, conferences
and workshops will punctuate those months and provide the emergent culture
and media arts with perpetual mutations. Will be hosted on the 14th : Martin
Tetrault and his love scratches, the passionate Walter Boudreau, Jordan Dare
(Neon) and other guests.
As for our participation to the Montreal All-Nighter of the MONTREAL HIGH LIGHTS
Festival, in witch DJ Orchestra will stand for a fourth collaboration, hosting
MUTEK and COMA festivals and other productions, the SAT seeks more than ever
to favour the artistic, technological and scientific crosses.
The 5 à 7 to which you are being invited will be followed by
the vernissage of Oeuvres de la collection 90-94, “Qui sommes-nous?”,
an exhibition built around four interactive installations by three of the media
arts’ pionneers: Jim Campbell (Memory/Recollection & Digital
Watch), Jeffrey Shaw (The Golden Calf) and Luc Courchesne (Portrait
One). After its first exhibition, the SAT emphasizes on the media arts’ history
in the early 90’s and their universal problematics, showing artworks
from its collection.
An explosive invitation to our lovely clientele, friends and media representatives!
