Soleil Vert invites you to a night of psychedelic and
“chilled out” ambience. Inspired by his love of nature and by
the destruction of it by technology and mankind, Soleil Vert makes dark
sounding beats and noises, contrasting with harmonic lines and ambient
nature sounds. -The name comes from the french translation for “Soylent
Green”, one of the first commercial movies predicting a dark future-.

François Giroux

François Giroux is a multimedia artist living
in Montreal since 1982. He started performing live electronic music
in 1984 with the band Biohazard (Montreal) and has also performed solo
in the following years for some 30 different events. He learned about
producing video art as an artist-in-residence at the National Museum
of Science and Technology in 1985. While composing music for films untill
1989 he learns about computer graphics and multimedia. He presented
an interactive installation and a multimedia performance both using
a network of 3 computers using virtual reality in 1990 and 1991.

First musician to play the “Dimanches Techno”
at Foufounes Electriques in 1993, he then worked in post-production,
multimedia, and 3D animation untill 2003. A one year stay in North Carolina
sees him pick electronic music back again where he co-founds “The
Mother Earth Starship” for a live presentation. Back to Quebec
in 2004 he composes instumental electronic music and distributes it
on the internet under the names “WaveRider” and “Soleil
Vert”.

Mister Kincaid

Mister Kincaid is David LaRiviere, a multi-media
artist with a background in visual and media arts. LaRiviere’s work
has encompassed sound art, video art, installation, and critical art
theory including work as a sessional instructor in contemporary art
issues. Since the winter of 2001 LaRiviere has been a regular member
of the experimental sound collage ensemble Full Metal Booty. This motley
crew of provocateurs in the medium of sound have called Artspace, the
artist run centre that LaRiviere directed for five years, its home base
and weekly jam space. Through this collaborative period LaRiviere also
formed the solo persona Mr. Kincaid to compliment his participation
in the band. From June through August 2005, the on-air improvised sound
jam “Mr. Kincaid’s Happy Fun Activity Hour” appeared fortnightly
on Trent Radio 92.7 FM in Peterborough. After moving to Montreal in
October 2005 Mr. Kincaid has participated in Share Montreal’s open jam
and remained active through numerous artistic initiatives. Mr. Kincaid

Coordinator and co-founder of the [MixSessions]
at SAT in Montreal. jocool has participated in several exhibitions as
Multimedia artist and now he concentrates in video creation and immersive
environments. As a Vj he plays LIVE sessions with local and international
artists for specific performances and events. His style is very colorfull,
a bit figurative but poetic. He edits, superposes and tweaks his images
and turns them into loops and collages and he plays live according to
the music and the reaction of the public. The end result is colorful,
surprising and inventive. It’’s full of life and captivating.
It leaves us wanting more.

Born in Montreal, Phranteek is back from a
tour in Belgium where he performed numerous times in the company of
DJ Shaman (a pioneer of the Brussels scene), Imatran Voima and Radarsat-1
on various radio shows and in clubs and festivals (Le Gazon, Recyclart
holidays, Boupsradio, 2 years Booty.be …).

Since 2000, he has been perfecting his art in many
respected places in Montreal, including Station C, Saphir and the Quartien
Latin Pub. A proud representative of Ghettobass – a savoury mix of Electro,
Chicago House and Miami Bass – he is known for his “Scratch n’
Cut” technique which he fusions with a disconcerting speed on 2
or 3 turntables. Passionate about the roots of electronic music, he
sometime retraces the path that gave birth to his style by dropping
hidden treasures by legends from Miami, Chicago and Detroit.
