The souk @ sat’s 15th edition promises a remarkable display of Montreal talent
From November 28th to December 2nd 2018, the iconic souk @ satmarket will be back for its 15th edition at the Society for Arts and Technology [SAT], the event’s producer. Offering as usual the best of Montreal’s contemporary creations, this long-awaited annual event invites you to discover striking creations while meeting makers and designers chosen by a jury of experts!
This year, the souk @ sat is partnering once again with Tourisme Montreal to promote and feature the best of local creativity and design.
LE JURY 2018
Every year, the souk @ sat selects an expert panel of jury members who are in turn commissioned with choosing the edition’s outstanding creatives and their fine products. The jury was presided over by Azamit, founder and creative director of souk @ sat. This year’s noteworthy jury is comprised of Alex Lesage (threefold> & Anniversary Magazine), Max Ruiz Laing (Loïc), de Muriel Françoise (journalist), de Scott Meleskie (Clark Street Mercantile) et de Trudy Crane (Looks Like White).
FOODLAB AND CAFÉ SAT
The SAT’s new cafe, situated on the first floor and fittingly overlooking Peace Park, will offer a selection of beverages, coffee, and small bites. On the third floor, original and local culinary creations will be available at the SAT’s Labo Culinaire Foodlab..
NEW THIS YEAR
For the duration of this year’s souk @ sat event, the Society for Arts and Technology holds the necessary permit to allow access to those under 18 years of age. However, the spaces open to all are limited to the new Café SAT, located on the ground floor, the Labo Culinaire Foodlab, located on the third floor, and the “Makey Makey” electronic animation kiosk offered by Campus SAT Youth, on the same floor. The main hall, on the ground floor, remains unfortunately inaccessible to minors.
SAT EXPERIENCE DESIGN
Like every year, the SAT will welcome you at its booth located on the 3rd floor.

The souk @ sat’s cachet and impact on Montreal’s creative scene will be highlighted in a video produced by In Toto, in collaboration with Jesse Rivière, the 5 Pound Media agency, and DJ Frigid. A partnership with Publicité Sauvage enabled the distribution of 15 different variations of the souk @ sat poster, excellently designed by the graphic design studio Caserne.
