Le bruit

Le bruit is a spatial auditory experience that questions our listening by constantly navigating between concrete and abstract, between reality and fiction. This performance plays with our perception of sounds and makes fun of our natural tendency to classify what we hear (useful/useless, annoying/significant, noise/music, etc.). The only sound source used is a noise generator, no samples are triggered. The audio processing and spatialization are carried out live, using a controller, and allow the noise to become in turn musical material, decorative element, temporal index or natural process, thus reconstituting different soundscapes between confusing (sur)realism and contemplative abstraction.
