1pm – free
The city
exposes itself under the theme: Renaissance urbaine (Urban Revival).
The graduate students
of UQAM’s Town-planning department present their final works on April 29, between
1pm and 8pm, at SAT. This exhibition, displayed in eleven stands, will attempt
to demonstrate how town-planning influences people’s daily life. Whether you
are a citizen, a student, or a town-plannig profesiona, if you have any interest
in issues relating to town development you will find a surrounding favourable
for exchanges on the matter.
At the start of
the 21st century, urban space is confronted to new economic, social, environmental
and cultural realities. The theme of this exhibition, Renaissance urbaine (Urban
Revival), seizes the way future town-planners imagine tomorrow’s cities. During
your visit, you will travel through the reconversion of Mirabel Airport, the
revitalization of the main street of Cap-aux-Meules (Îles-de-la-Madeleine),
the redevelopment of Montreal’s Quai de l’horloge in the Old Port, and so many
more sites.
