Artbygenève - call for entries

artbygenève is a new art fair taking place every spring at Palexpo at the same time as the international book and press fair. The mission of artbygenève is to exhibit today’s art in a relaxed and congenial atmosphere. Exhibitors from all over the world meet art lovers and collectors in the heart of Europe.

artbygenève is a new art fair taking place every spring at Palexpo at the same time as the international book and press fair.
artbygenève displays today’s art in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere encouraging optimal public access and enjoyment. artbygenève enables galleries, artists and the protagonists of current creation to present themselves and their work in an efficient way to collectors and the public
and establish relationships and exchanges in Geneva and its area, representing about 4 million people.

The exhibitors

artbygenève presents all the actors of today’s art in 4 sections:

  • artbygalleries: galleries selected for the quality of the artworks they highlight especially galleries that spot tomorrow’s talent
  • artbyfoundation: a selection of artists and groups of artists presented by the Visual arts foundation
  • artbymedia: special interest press, art publishers, bookstores, organizations
  • artbymuseum: area devoted to foundations, museums and institutions

artbygenève gives exhibitors from all over the world the opportunity to meet art-lovers, collectors and propective buyers in a convivial atmosphere. Easy access and set-up are also major advantages for the exhibitors, along with the genuine interest of visitors.

Open to the public, the fair also attracts collectors and professionals, who will be able to multiply meetings and international networks of contacts.
artbygenève plans to welcome at least 20’000 visitors. The preview event expects some 400 art collectors, specialists from museums and from international art schools, local galleries and Swiss institutes active in the world of art.
artbygenève also aims to provide specific information to visitors seeking to discover the different trends and disciplines represented and to acquire artworks.


Application open until December 31th:

Every application must include the following documents:

  • Exhibition program
  • One high-resolution picture per exhibited artwork
  • Labels of presented artworks
  • Short history of each artwork
  • A brief history of the gallery and its past exhibitions (last 3 years)

To ensure the quality of the works shown at the fair, the art director and the committee will make a selection.

From then on, exchanges between the exhibitor and the organizer will happen online.

Admitted exhibitors will receive a confirmation by January 30th and the online exhibitor file.
