Google Summer of Code (g.co/gsoc) is Google's mentorship program for bringing new contributors into open source communities. It's happening again for the 18th year in 2022! Over 18,000 developers from 112 countries have participated.

The Society of Arts and Technology [SAT] has been selected as a mentoring organization for the Google Summer of Code (GSoC) program as a result of its first ever application in 2022!

SAT is one of the 32 new organizations accepted this year (https://opensource.googleblog.com/2022/03/Google-Summer-of-Code-2022-mentoring-orgs-revealed.html).

How to participate as contributors to GSoC 2022 with the SAT?

We encourage participation from students from communities under-represented in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) fields. We aim at increasing the participation of groups traditionally underrepresented in software development (including but not limited to: women, LGBTQ+, underrepresented minorities, and people with disabilities).
