Poiesis, University of Montreal’s student in design magazine, launch their new Web site http://www.poiesis.aedii.qc.ca.
Dear reader, Poiesis is the communication medium of The Industrial and Interior Designers Association (AÉDII) of the University of Montréal. Briefly, Poiesis represents firstly the students’ will to display what they can do and say to the professional, teaching and student spheres of the design world in order to create links with them, — and to inform and show what the students think and do. The goal is also to aware the students themselves about the industry, the professional practice, research and pedagogy in design. This in order for them to understand and apprehend their future profession as designers and also for them to fully grasp the daily impact that they will have daily as working designers in tomorrow’s world.
Poiesis is available for free in a magazine form at the Faculté de l’aménagement of the University of Montréal and on special mail delivery.
The Poiesis magazine was first lauched in Februray 2006 and was only available on the Web. We now print 500 copies per number, and release three numbers per year. Here are joined the third and fourth numbers of the magazine repectively lauched in October 2006 and February 2007.
