The Society for Arts & Technology [SAT] is recruiting a senior IT manager.

Job description

Under the responsibility of the General Director, the incumbent is responsible for the Society for Arts and Technology [SAT] IT architecture and infrastructure as well as user support. He-She is called upon as expert consultant by our R&D team and acts as the IT reference to all SAT employees. He-She participates in the development of the IT plan, in line with the strategy of the organization and the needs of its departments, and sees to its implementation.

 

Key responsibilities

IT security management :

  • Develop, implement and run the organization back-up plan;
  • Keep the disaster recovery plan up to date and run the risk management process including auditing and testing;
  • Responsible of users access management and operation (Active Directory and related technologies);
  • Document and implement security management and governance best practices;

 

Infrastructure management :

  • Design, optimize and monitor both physical and virtual infrastructure;
  • Monitor, analyze, recommend and implement infrastructure changes to improve performance and operations;
  • Document and update operating procedures and other IT documents;

 

IT project management :

  • Analyze the needs of the organization and its departments and duly submit proposals;
  • Plan, develop and execute infrastructure and software projects aimed towards implementing new IT solutions in regard to current and future needs;
  • Manage change in major projects;
  • Identify, select and manage partners relationships requested in/for projects;

 

Network and telecommunication management :

  • Monitor network traffic considering capacity and security and take action when required;
  • Manage the IP telephone system (in collaboration with our partner);

 

General :

  • Manage equipment purchase, maintenance contracts and license renewals;
  • Manage the IT assets inventory (including mobile devices);
  • Provide a distinctive technical support to SAT employees and document all technical assistance;
  • Train new employees on good security practices (including remote working security best practices);
  • Monitor IT trends to support organizational initiatives or needs;
  • Support and enforce management decisions, policies and regulations;

 

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technologies, related discipline or relevant experience;
  • 7 years of experience in managing an IT department is required;
  • 3 years of experience as team manager;
  • Industry experience in the creative and cultural environment is an important asset;
  • The following certifications or experience deemed relevant (asset) :
    • ITIL/CISSP;
    • MCSE/Vmware-VCP/Azure/Amazon-AWS;
    • CCNA/CCNP;
  • Very good knowledge of IT security: firewall rules, hacking, viruses, etc.
  • Very good knowledge of these environments is essential :
    • Windows & Linux G Suite;
    • Virtualisation (VMware, HyperV, vSAN)
    • Active Directory (Gpo, site, multiple domaines)
    • Windows 2016 / 2019 Server
    • Linux Ubuntu Server
    • Log management (Kibana, logstash, elastic search)
    • Security (CheckPoint, Iptables, Fortigate, SecurID, VPN, Logs)
    • Network (Switch, Vlan, routes, sécurités, proxy)
    • WordPress & Drupal
    • Atlassian Suite
    • Backup and security (Veeam, Backup Exec, tape)
  • Bilingual, both verbal and written (French and English);
  • Ability to explain the IT concepts to the entire organization;
  • Flexible schedule answering to the organization’s operational needs;
