The SAT welcomes a new director of operations management

We are pleased to welcome Mariana Chucri as director of operations management at the SAT !

We are pleased to welcome Mariana Chucri as director of operations management at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT). She will commence her duties on September 4, 2018.

We would like to note that Ms. Chucri succeeds Mr. Ghyslain Boileau, who greatly contributed to the SAT’s development for 12 years as executive co-director.

As a result of the change, president – founder and artistic director Monique Savoie will now assume full general management responsibilities.

Mariana holds an EMBA from McGill University-HEC Montréal and has 15 years of experience as a finance director, notably in the video games industry. She’s worked for different leading businesses, such as: Electronic Arts, THQ, Ubisoft, Eidos, and most recently, Felix & Paul Studios, in the field of immersive creation.

The Society for Arts and Technology (SAT), a transdisciplinary centre for artists, research/creation, training and broadcasting, was created in 1996 to support the development of a new generation of creators/researchers in the digital age.

In 2018, the SAT is now recognized both nationally and internationally for its active, leading role in developing immersive technologies, virtual reality, and creative use of high-speed networks.

As a new member of the management team, Mariana can certainly enrich us with her knowledge and talent to ensure proper process management, motivate the teams, and develop new partnerships. We warmly welcome her aboard the “flagship”!
