On behalf of the board of directors and the staff of The Society for Arts & Technology (SAT), I would like to thank you for your generous contribution to our fundraising event of October 29th. Your presence and generosity helped make the night a great success and we exceeded our objective of having 200 square feet adopted.
On behalf of the board of directors and the staff of The Society for Arts & Technology (SAT), I would like to thank you for your generous contribution to our fundraising event of October 29th. Your presence and generosity helped make the night a great success and we exceeded our objective of having 200 square feet adopted.
Your contribution supports the development of research and residency facilities in the undevelopped downstairs space. These facilities will welcome both local and international artists and researchers who are integral to the SAT’s mission of fostering the emergence of a strong digital culture symbolic of our society.
We would like to thank Mr. Hubert Reeves, honorary president of the fundraising campaign, for his fascinating conference. Much thanks also to Ha, chef of Souvenirs d’Indochine and a close friend of the SAT, for his delicious meal, as well as the entire team involved in organising the evening.
Our fundraising campaign will continue until 2006. Currently our activities only use a third of the building. The objective of the campaign is to raise one million dollars, to develop the remaining space, and to help the SAT fully assume its role on the local and international scale. We have already benefited from the support of the Québec government and the city of Montréal, which helped us to acquire the building. We have also benefited from the enthusiastic support of our 2,400 members and the 80,000 people who have attended our activities throughout the last 3 years.
You are part of our plans! With your help, we can develop a context of research and creation for emerging cultures. This context must not only offer artists the tools to participate and to innovate on a local, provincial and international level, but must also fulfil the aspirations and ambitions of a new generation through access and training programs.
We were honoured by your presence and touched by your support. With sincere thanks,
