THE FOOD

Under the direction of chef Maxime Latapie (Helena, Portus 360), Pavillon offers a simple, delicious European-inspired menu, accompanied by a list of natural wines, cocktails and local beers. There's something for everyone here, with dishes ranging from $6 to $20, glasses of natural wine for around $10 and bottles for $50 (tax included).

THE SPACE

Nestled on the 3rd floor of the SAT, the restaurant occupies the former premises of Labo Culinaire. The interior has been revamped to create a warm, intimate atmosphere, while the terrace offers spectacular views of downtown. A long U-shaped bar, banquettes and hanging lights create a cosy ambience, with a DJ booth to add a lively vibe.

THE MISSION

Unlike the traditional chef-owner model, Pavillon is a not-for-profit restaurant association at the heart of a cultural institution, a rare concept in Montreal. This structure allows Pavillon to extend SAT's event mission, with food events of all kinds: pop-ups, interactive gastronomic experiences, four-hand dinners and DJ performances. All profits are donated to the organization, supporting the SAT's artists, researchers and activities.
