THIRD-PARTY TOOLS MADE FOR ART AND CREATIVE PRACTICE: THE DIGITAL CREATION TOOLS USED IN 2019

The history of digital arts is full of technologically minded artists who have experimented, modified, or changed the use of different digital platforms to make them creative tools. Over the years, the needs of artists have brought about new functions and new possibilities that have enriched the artistic and technological community. In 2019, many digital tools incorporate not only features developed by the creators themselves, but many of them are even intended specifically for the needs of artists. A transdisciplinary exchange is taking place between the arts and other sectors: whereas in the past, third-party tools were adapted for digital artistic creation, they are now in turn being used in the fields of entertainment, events, fashion, and more.

This summer, Campus SAT is offering a selection of training workshops for the discovery or improvement of these tools, used as much by artists as by creative professionals from other fields. On the program: more than 65 hours of immersion training, visual creation, audio creation and interactivity. From musical creation with Ableton Live, to generative creation with TouchDesigner, through interactive art with Arduino, come create with the best-known tools!

Reduced rates for students and artists are still available.

What do you need to know about the language of instruction ?
We are always adding new workshops in English during the year, and most, if not all, of the instructors of our classes in French are perfectly bilingual. If you register for a workshop given in French, you should of course be comfortable enough with the language to actively follow the instructor’s explanations to the class, but we absolutely encourage you to use English when you ask your questions if you feel more comfortable doing so. Our workshops are offered in a friendly environment in small groups of 6 to 12 participants.

CRÉATION AUDIO AVEC ABLETON LIVE Dates : 6, 7, 13, et 14 juillet Durée : 18 heures CRÉATION AUDIO – ABLETON LIVE Introduction approfondie de 18 heures sur la création audio à l’aide du logiciel Ableton Live, un des plus utilisés sur la scène musicale à la fois pour la performance live et la composition, présentée en 4 parties.
