Presented by the SAT and AADN, this first Montreal edition of the Labos Immersifs, which will take place from March 17 to 21 2025, will welcome a cohort of selected artists to co-create immersive audiovisual works under a dome. The participants will work in teams alongside artists from different parts of the world to develop a draft of a work, which will be presented to the public at the closing event.
This call will complete the international cohort of the Labos Immersifs by inviting Quebec-based and Lyon-based artists to apply.
This week of collaborative work offers you:
With no participation fees, the Labos Immersifs offer you the perfect opportunity to refine your skills in fulldome creation, collaborate with international artists, immerse yourself in the digital community, and put your talents to the test in our dome.
SAT wishes to contribute to an inclusive and diverse cultural scene. It encourages women, trans and non-binary people, members of 2SLGBTQ+ communities, members of Indigenous communities, racialized people, visible and/or ethnic minorities, as well as people with disabilities to submit their proposals.
This program is intended for emerging and established artists who work in media arts (visual arts, music, sound design, interactivity), and who wish to perfect their artistic practice within an immersive context while embracing collaborative work.
Please note that this opportunity is a joint initiative between SAT and AADN, therefore we are only accepting applications from artists based in Quebec and from the Lyon metropolitan area.
You must fill out the registration form and submit a portfolio detailing your artistic practice as well as your areas of expertise.
Artists will be selected based on their complementarity to the group’s knowledge and skills, their artistic portfolio, their artistic and technical expertise in their respective disciplines, and the relevance of their work to the event’s context.
We only accept individual applications.
Participation in this program is free of charge, voluntary and unpaid.
The SAT does not offer any financial compensation for transport or accommodation costs. The AADN will cover the transport from Lyon and the accommodation during the residency only for Lyon-based participants.
A basic understanding of English is required to communicate with international participants.
