With its dome 13 meters high, its 8 video projectors and its 157 loudspeakers, the Satosphere places the public at the heart of the audiovisual experience.

The SAT inaugurated the Satosphere in 2011. It is the first immersive theater dedicated to artistic creation and visualization activities. The Satosphere forms a spherical projection screen where artists explore new conceptual and sensory territories.

2024
award
winners

In 2024, in our renovated dome, the SAT's iconic immersive film festival brought together local and international artists for a unique program of immersive short films, premieres, special screenings, and professional activities. The six winning films of this latest edition were selected by a jury of artists and immersion specialists, as well as by public vote.

The winning films: an architectural space inspired by the musical "Souvenir de Puerto Rico" (Inner Island); a playful celebration of the connection between sound and image (Ignite!); a virtual paradise composed of organic materials (Dancing with Dead Animals); an exploration of a single-celled fungus (Protist Rhapsody); an immersive panopticon where the audience plays the role of a computer mouse (FEED); and a dreamlike journey through an imaginary and subconscious world (Dream).
