From the start, SAT Fest has focused on experimentation, innovation, collaboration and artistic creativity. We are looking for short films that demonstrate an interest and mastery of the immersive medium, while offering audiences a rich and original collective experience.
Certain categories like educational, scientific, corporate and kids’ films are not included in this call. However, these submissions may be considered by our jury based on their artistic relevance.
We recommend submitting only complete and finalized projects. Excerpts, drafts and trailers will not be considered.
We recommend using a permanent file upload service (Google Drive, Dropbox, sFTP, Smash) rather than WeTransfer, as submissions may be downloaded past the 5-day link expiry date.

Society for Arts and Technology [SAT]
The Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) is a lively creative laboratory offering explosive experiences where the tangible meets the improbable, and intelligence, curiosity, knowledge and multiple talents all converge.
Founded in 1996, the Society for Arts and Technology is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and support of digital culture, which combines within its walls an artist centre, a research laboratory, a performance space and a training centre. The SAT is internationally recognized for its active and pioneering role in the development of immersive technologies, group interactivity and mixed realities, as well as the creative use of high-speed networks. Its transdisciplinary approach and hybrid mission make it a unique organization in Montreal and around the world.
The first permanent immersive environment dedicated to artistic creation and viewing activities, this dome creates a 360° spherical projection screen. A new tool for generating human, tangible and all-encompassing experiences, the Satosphère places the audience at the heart of audiovisual works.
