An interactive artwork by Justin Lepitre, Maude Langlois, Jean-Christophe Zephir, Dominic Roberts and Noémie Poirier, students at UQAM.
The SAT Gallery will host a new exhibition presented in collaboration with the École des médias from UQAM: SPECTŌ, an interactive work created by second-year students in the Interactive Media program.
SPECTŌ is an immersive installation that explores the dynamics of observation and self-perception in a hyperconnected world. Through a pathway of suspended windows, the viewer becomes both the observer and the observed. Video sequences depicting everyday moments respond to the viewer’s presence, creating an ever-changing experience that shifts from subtle discomfort to direct confrontation. By reversing the roles, SPECTŌ sheds light on how voyeurism, self-exposure, and the impact of being watched can shape our perception and experience of the world.
After a selection process conducted by a panel of creative immersion experts at the SAT, SPECTŌ was selected from among several student proposals for its vision and originality.
