ARTISTS
Jen Cardini
French-born Jen Cardini has been welcoming people into the discotheque for the last 30 years. Their belief that something more was hidden under the surface of electronic music has put them at the helm of tiny sweaty lesbian bars, flamboyant Ibiza superclubs, and off-the-beaten-path warehouse raves. Through their work as an A&R for the labels Correspondant and DISCH, their remixes and productions helped rephrase the world's understanding of the French dance music scene. They continue playing festivals such as Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, Field Day, Sonar, Butik Festival, MUTEK, and more. Cardini is also a regular at some of the best clubs in the world, such as Berghain, Outra Cena, Bassiani, Basement, K41 or Club Raum. They have also been able to perform at iconic art venues like MoMA PS1 and the Centre Pompidou. Jen has also launched their own party series, Nightclubbing, a platform for queer underground artists focused on transmission.
Olympe4000 represents a new rave generation for whom the dancefloor is a space of freedom where identities and musical genres collide. Behind the decks, she breaks down boundaries between styles, blending furious rhythms, powerful basslines and techno-infused breakbeats. From raves to iconic clubs, in France and internationally, she cultivates an eclectic, boundary-pushing sound. As a producer, she also explores contemporary social issues through her music. In 2024, she released Hack Me I’m Famous, a collaborative EP with DJ Physical that questions our relationship with technology. Through her own label, Adrenaline Quality, Olympe4000 takes her vision of a hybrid, mutant and activist rave culture even further. More than a record label, it serves as a creative laboratory supporting emerging artists and fostering a more inclusive electronic music scene, notably through collaborations with Beats by girlz, an initiative encouraging women, non-binary and trans people to explore music production.
Metizo, cofounder of the Narrativ events and the Public Averti podcast, treats DJing as a means of exploration and reclamation. He dishes out scuffed-up, squelchy tracks with flair and a distinctly old-school sensibility. His sets embrace unexpected combinations, blending techno, house, acid, and breakbeat while remaining grounded in their roots. Strange analogies take shape across genres and eras.
Evita emerges from a world where figments of dreams cross over into waking life. Prioritizing emotional charge over conventional dancefloor functionality, her musical tastes are wide-ranging, but throughout her selections, there are motifs that make her motivations clear. She is in pursuit of something beyond the ordinary. The blistering and the blissful are made complementary in her work. Based in Montreal, Evita is deeply rooted in the city’s DIY scene, co-founder of Sunday Service and behind Serpentine, two series that embrace a radical artistic vision.
