CUSTOM EVENTS

On the SAT Rooftop and at the Buvette, food and music come together in relaxed, festive settings. In the summer, the rooftop transforms into a pop-up urban open-air buvette, featuring daytime parties, DJ sets, and farmers’ markets. It’s a lively space where people come to eat, drink, and socialize until sunset.

POP-UP TERRACE

The SAT’s 3rd floor terrace opens at the end of May for the summer season. Designed in a relaxed guinguette style, it welcomes guests without reservations, Tuesday to Friday from 5 PM to 10 PM. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the warmer days with a fresh, shareable menu created by the chef Catherine Lépine-Lafrance, a curated wine list, and a selection of summer cocktails. A laid-back, convivial space to grab a drink, eat, and unwind at the end of the day.

SUNSAT 2026

SUNSAT

Three events. The very best of summer on a terrace during the day. SUNSAT is SAT’s take on a daytime party. SUNSAT is taking over the SAT Rooftop with a series of daytime parties conceived in collaboration with Living Room IDs, a Montreal-based curation platform created by local DJ and producer Laurence Matte. On the agenda: DJ sets, cocktails, good food, and an artisan market presented by Mon Amie Frankie.

THE SPACE

Nestled on the third floor of the SAT, Pavillon occupies the former premises of the Culinary Lab. Its decor has been revamped to create a warm and intimate atmosphere, while the terrace offers spectacular views of downtown. A long U-shaped bar, banquettes, and hanging light fixtures create a cozy ambiance, with a dedicated DJ area adding a lively vibe.

YOUR EVENTS

Your events take on a whole new dimension. Treat your teams, partners, or clients to a unique setting in the heart of downtown Montreal. Cocktail parties, festive dinners, launches, conferences, or end-of-year celebrations: the Pavillon can be privatized and adapted to your needs.

THE MISSION

Unlike the traditional Montreal model of chef-owner, the SAT's gastronomic space is based on a non-profit association model, integrated into the heart of a cultural institution—a rare concept in Montreal. This structure allows the SAT to extend its event mission through a varied culinary program: pop-ups, interactive gastronomic experiences, four-handed dinners, and DJ performances. The revenue generated is reinvested in the non-profit organization, supporting artists, researchers, and the SAT's activities.
