CRISTO RIFFO

Cristo Riffo is a Chilean artist whose practice explores memory, light, politics, and biology through live performances and kinetic installations, where he hacks and reconfigures devices using microbiology, electronics, robotics, and coding. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Playa Ancha (CL) and an MFA in Studio Arts (Intermedia) from Concordia University (CA). His work has been exhibited in Chile and internationally, including in Bahia (BR), Buenos Aires (AR), Bogotá (CO), Montreal (CA), Linz (AT), and Berlin (DE). In 2023, he co-founded the A/V duo Manos de Agua with Diego B.C. His work Sistema Cinco: Non Human Determinations was presented at the 2023 Ars Electronica exhibition Who Owns the Truth?. He currently teaches at the Louisiana State University.

FRANCISCO RIFFO

Francisco Riffo is a musician and multimedia artist from Puerto Montt, Chile, whose practice spans computer music, sound installation, generative visuals, and interdisciplinary collaboration. His musical work blends traditional practices with experimental approaches, chaotic programming, and live improvisation. Through sound installations, he explores questions of acoustics, spatial perception, and psychoacoustics, examining how multichannel digital compositions can interact with and transform physical environments through movement and unconventional speaker configurations. His latest release, Hyperme, was published by Modern Obscure Music, a label whose catalogue includes artists such as Laurie Spiegel, Ryuichi Sakamoto, KMRU, and Susumu Yokota. His work has been presented in concerts, exhibitions, and festivals across Germany, Canada, and Chile.
