The Innovation Department will open the doors to its studios, offering a unique glimpse into its research.

Internationally recognized for its R&D expertise, the SAT’s Research and Innovation Center is a true hub for open innovation. At the intersection of art, science, and technology, we develop, among other things, cutting-edge tools for immersive creation.

As part of SAT’s 30th anniversary, the team invites you to discover its projects up close. Come meet the researchers and experiment with our tools and software dedicated to creating immersive experiences.

You will be able to discover

Haptic Floor

An interactive floor that enables a multisensory immersive experience, combining haptics and multimedia. This technology allows users to feel movements, textures, and vibrations synchronized with digital content.

Audiodice

A set of 5 multidirectional speakers, each composed of 12 drivers, that immerses the audience in a 3D volumetric sound environment.

PointMapper

A spatial calibration tool that merges depth data from multiple RGBD sensors to visualize human activity in 3D, in real time. It is used in our installation Jeu(x) de Lumières.

Espace de R&D, studio interactif et studio de son

Discover our spaces dedicated to experimentation and exploration for creating collective experiences.
The new sound studio, equipped with 97 Meyer Sound MM-4XP speakers, features a modular allocentric diffusion system that allows for a fully immersive experience, no matter where you are in the space.

Livepose

A pose and action detection tool that captures participants’ movements using cameras to generate real-time interactions.

Suite SAT

A collection of software tools to create immersive environments and interactive installations: computer vision, real-time generative AI, sound spatialization, multimedia orchestration, and fulldome visualization.

Immersive Living Lab

An experimental space dedicated to the research and development of immersive solutions that address current social issues such as universal accessibility, health and well-being—including mental health, digital literacy, and digital detox. We assist companies, organizations, and institutions in co-creating immersive experiences with a social impact.
