Fees and Refund Policy

In the event of a cancellation, the $20 administrative fee, as well as the online registration service fee included in the course price, are non-refundable.

To cancel your registration, please contact us by email at [email protected] no later than one week before the start of the course. This allows us to offer your spot to another participant. No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations made less than one week before the first class.

What is the minimum age to participate?

The training is designed for adult groups. We recommend that people under 18 consult the youth program. If you are between 16 and 17 years old and want to enroll in this training, certain conditions apply and parental authorization is required. Contact us at [email protected].

What language is the course taught in?

This course will be taught in French. Some courses are provided in English. Please consult the catalogue and the calendar to see the options. Do not hesitate to submit a request via the form. Every request helps us shape our future programming.

Can I borrow or rent equipment?

Make sure you have the equipment listed in the relevant section with you from the first session. Borrowing is not possible.

You can rent equipment for several days or for a few months. See the Equipment and room rentals section.

How much work is required between each session? Do I have homework?

Most instructors will suggest exercises to do at home to keep learning between sessions. We recommend setting aside at least one hour per week to do the exercises, but they are optional unless otherwise indicated. For example, some trainings, including the Creation Workshops, will ask you to create a project throughout the training. In that case, you should plan to spend at least one hour between each session to work on your project.

Can I attend the training remotely?

To ensure service quality, our trainings are not offered in a hybrid format. Some trainings are offered online and others in person. Check the black box above to see where this training will take place.

Can I make up a missed session?

Trainings are held at sporadic, one-time periods, which means you can’t make up a missed session. Since the number of sessions is very limited, it’s not recommended to miss a session.

Can I contact the instructor before the training begins?

Contact us at [email protected]. Our team will be happy to answer all your questions about the training.

Our instructors are researchers and developers from SAT’s Innovation department, or professional artists and experienced instructors. For this reason, it isn’t possible to meet with the instructor before the training, as they are busy with other creation, teaching, or research projects. To learn more about the instructor, see their bio above on the training page.

Can I receive support for my personal project?

Ongoing training is offered in group sessions. For personalized support, consult the page on Customized training.

Whatever training or skill development you need on a specific topic, our team will support you with your project: they assess your needs, propose a tailored course plan, and provide personalized follow-up throughout the training. These trainings are an ideal way to address your questions related to completing real-world projects.

Can I film the training session?

Training sessions may not be filmed or recorded by participants. Any unauthorized recording may result in additional fees.

Our team may take photos or capture short video clips during the training for communication and content creation purposes. If you do not wish to appear in these images, please inform our team on site.
