Step inside the creative process of DJ Flore.

As part of Futurs Antérieurs, the SAT invites you to an Ableton masterclass with Flore, a leading figure in the French bass scene and the first certified Ableton Trainer in France, who will also perform at the SAT later that evening.

Designed as a true behind-the-scenes experience, this session opens the door to her creative process while immersing you in the fundamentals of Ableton Live: music composition, recording, live performance, and editing.

Flore will break down one of her tracks directly in Ableton, exploring it layer by layer to reveal her techniques, artistic choices, and the reasoning behind every decision. By deconstructing a finished piece, you will gain insight into each stage of its creation, from structure to sound design, and understand how an artistic vision translates into production.

More than a technical workshop, this intimate masterclass is a rare opportunity to connect directly with an established artist, observe her workflow, and develop your own skills with Ableton.

ABOUT THE DJ

Flore

Flore is a DJ, producer, curator, label boss of POLAAR and leading figure in the French bass scene, operating at the intersection of club culture, production, and education. She has built a reputation for high-intensity sets that blend amen-breaks, Afro-Caribbean influences, acid house, and techno, while fostering a strong sense of community on the dance floor. Her 2020 album RITUALS drew international media attention, with coverage from BBC, Mixmag, and Trax. Beyond releases, Flore explores immersive performance formats and sound spatialization, and became the first certified female Ableton instructor in France, expanding her influence across both artistic and pedagogical spheres.
