Decode the use of artificial intelligence in the arts
With the arrival of Chat GPT and other text, image, and sound generation tools, artificial intelligence (AI) has become an unavoidable topic in the world of digital art. These AI tools open new doors to creativity and imagination for new artistic forms, but behind their promises, they have also been at the center of controversies.
Understanding such impacts also means learning how to better position oneself in the face of such transformations in the artistic and cultural fields.
This course offers an accessible and critical introduction to AI applied to the arts. Through presentations, concrete examples of works, and a participatory workshop, participants will be invited to explore the opportunities and challenges of these tools, in order to be able to make an informed choice about their use in their professional or artistic practice.
