This course offers an overview of the aesthetic and technical foundations that characterize immersive visual creation.
Through excerpts from works, demonstrations of tools, and a theoretical overview, participants will be introduced to the essential techniques of immersive production: spherical image formats, 360° capture, 2D/3D/real-time composition, as well as the softwares commonly used in the field.
This training provides a summary of the major approaches to immersive visual creation, such as immersive cinema, audiovisual performances, and interactive practices.
Accessible online, this training is the ideal introduction for artists—both experienced and emerging—as well as for digital enthusiasts wishing to explore visual creation in an immersive context.
Course objectives and content
- Learn the language of immersive visual creation;
- Examine different forms of visual immersion and their applications in visual arts (e.g., 2D, 3D, real time, 360° capture);
- Understand the artistic and technical challenges associated with different forms of immersive visual creation;
- Acquire basic theoretical knowledge about the creation of fulldome visual content;
- Identify the characteristics of different types of domes and the principles of multi-projection;
What knowledge and material are required?
Knowledge
- No prior knowledge required.
- Proficiency in 2D, 3D, and 2.5D graphic design and computer graphics software and techniques is an asset.
Material
- Note-taking materials, according to the participant’s preferences.

How old do you have to be to participate?
Our training courses are designed for adult learners. We recommend that individuals under 18 sign up for our youth creative workshops. However, teenagers aged 16 and older may enrol in our training courses with parental consent.
In which language is the course taught?
This course is taught in English.

To access the “Artist” rate, please send us a link to your portfolio or an artist CV before registering at [email protected]. We will provide you with a discount code, which you can use during registration.
To access the “Student” rate, please send a copy of your valid student ID before registering to [email protected]. We will send you a discount code that can be applied during registration.
In the event of cancellation, the $20 administrative fee, as well as the service fees for online registration (which are included in the course price), are non-refundable.
Please contact us by email at [email protected] if you wish to cancel your registration, no later than one week before the start of the course, to give us time to assign your place to another person. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received less than one week before the start of the course.
