Ostr-size is a drum and bass duo formed by Montreal based producers Simon Sizer and Ostrich. Drawing from different musical backgrounds, they blend their unique styles into fresh and distinctive sounds. Simon Sizer, known for his intricate sound design and emotionally driven productions, pairs seamlessly with Ostrich, whose deep rhythmic sensibilities and experimental approach bring a raw edge to their work. Ostr-size channels their passion for drum and bass into creating standout productions that mark their artistic territory. More than a collaboration, Ostr-size represents two distinct voices uniting to create a bold, singular vision of bass music.
Enter the waters of Lather Rinse Repeat (she/her) and you’ll move through a stream-of-consciousness journey that blends nostalgic classics, leftfield surprises, and forward-thinking selections. Drawn to the relationships between cultures, genres, and eras, she approaches DJing as a situational practice, shaping sets around mood, environment, and collective energy. The result is a dancefloor that feels immersive, introspective, and playfully off-kilter: retrofuturism with a touch of absurdity.
At home in both bass music and deep house, OJPB (formerly Bowly) is one of the most compelling producers to emerge from Montreal’s underground. His sets bridge genres through mindful, ethereal grooves and swing-heavy percussion, offering a fresh take on classic UK styles. After cutting his teeth in the UK bass scene and releasing under his former alias, he traced dance music back to its roots—exploring Jamaican sound system culture and African American and Latin traditions—before returning to the hardcore continuum. Co-founding ESL and the MTL Funky raves, he helped pioneer UK Funky in Montreal, fostering vibrant, community-driven dancefloors.
Meisam Nemati, known as SULFATION, is an international artist and audiovisual developer, who has been working in Quebec since 2017. His early experience as a magazine cartoonist shaped his surrealist vision, which was enriched over time by his years spent in industrial and mining environments as a field engineer, forming a unique perspective that defined his style. It was at the SAT that he began to focus on immersive experiences, developing his artistic language in fulldome and 360° environments, with creations that balance structure and spontaneity. As an artist and director, SULFATION has experience ranging from fulldome short films to live installations, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in surreal worlds shaped by abstraction and unexpected forms.
