Integrate embedded and mobile technologies into your artistic productions.
This course offers a hands-on introduction to immersive and embedded scenography applied to live performance. It is intended for creators, professionals, and curious practitioners working in digital arts, performing arts, and stage-based practices who are interested in integrating interactive technologies into their projects, particularly in the context of touring productions or mobile setups.
You will explore how to transform a traditional scenographic approach into an augmented, immersive, and multisensory experience using portable technologies and embedded systems. Through case studies, technical demonstrations, and guided practical exercises, you will become familiar with both the creative possibilities and the technical constraints of these tools. A system design workshop will allow you to reflect on a personal or hypothetical project and explore concrete ways to integrate these technologies according to your production conditions.
By the end of the training, you will have acquired the vocabulary and core concepts needed to confidently approach this scenography. You will be able to identify relevant technical resources, assess the feasibility of your ideas, and mobilize portable technologies within your artistic projects. The training also encourages the exploration of the SAT’s open source software toolbox, designed to be readily integrated into artistic productions.
